Welcome to the St. Kane's New Deer Website

New Deer Church of Scotland

"Where everyone's welcome, nobody's perfect, and anything is possible"

New Deer Church is a Christ-centred, biblically- focused family of faith. We move forward each day as we respond individually and together to the transforming love of God. We enjoy and serve God in our teaching and learning. We serve God in our Sunday worship and we enjoy service to God in our community. We serve and enjoy God in our personal lives. We love God and God’s gift of life as we learn what it means for us to be followers of Jesus.

St. Kane's is a Church of Scotland (presbyterian) church in New Deer, a village in North East Scotland. Click here for a map of our location (the Church Centre is right next door to the church). Thankyou for showing an interest in us by visiting our site! Please take some time to explore our site and find out more about us. We enjoy good fellowship together and hope you will join us either at our service on a Sunday or at one of the groups running during the week. Young people, please go to our section on youthwork.

We are pleased to announce that after preaching as Sole Nominee, Rev. Paul Read has been called to be Minister of New Deer St Kane's linked with Maud & Savoch Church, his induction took place on 25th March at St Kane's Church.

Holiday ClubMonday 16-08-2010
Last week over 50 children and young people came along to the centre to the holiday club. This year the theme was 'The Highlanders' and Andy Burns and Anna Carr, who had come from Dundee led the event. As usual, the super soaker came along, but as well as all the fun the children (and adults) had each day there was lots of teaching and singing and craft work, and the puppets Jock and Susie paid a visit.. There was also an evening event when young people came along and had different food each night,as well as playing table tennis, computer ... (Show full article)

This year 24 leaders and young people travelled by coach down to Moffat for our annual residential. We stayed at the Well Road Centre and had a great week of teaching - Youth Alpha - and praise - thanks Ben and Ian. We aslo made banners, mirror tiles, photo frame decoration and various other crafts. Anne and Caroline did all the cooking - thanks for that!(How many calories in the yummy hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream???)- and we had lots of fun with various games. Annual PicnicSaturday 12-06-2010
A small number of members boarded the bus bound for Banff links for the annual picnic -they were joined by several more members who had travelled by car. It was a bit blustery when we arrived at Banff, but we set off for a walk along the beach. Some of the younger folk stayed to play at the playpark. We then set up camp, behind the windbreaks for our picnic lunch - it was actually quite warm for a while, and the hardy Ian, Ian and Jonathon along with Ringo went in for a dip into the 'freezing' sea!!!!!
We then decided ... (Show full article)
