A small number of members boarded the bus bound for Banff links for the annual picnic -they were joined by several more members who had travelled by car. It was a bit blustery when we arrived at Banff, but we set off for a walk along the beach. Some of the younger folk stayed to play at the playpark. We then set up camp, behind the windbreaks for our picnic lunch - it was actually quite warm for a while, and the hardy Ian, Ian and Jonathon along with Ringo went in for a dip into the 'freezing' sea!!!!!

The 2 Rock Solid Groups held a fundraiser soup & sweet today, to help towards their annual residential. They raised over £270, and would like to thank everyone who supported them in any way, but with special thanks again to Anne, who made all the soups.

Ian and Jonathon completed an 8 mile sponsored run today to raise funds for hospital work in Nigeria,. They were accompanied by Ian.Well done boys!

Tonight saw the joint parent night for both sections of the 1st New Deer BBs. There was a really good turn out of parents and friends to support the boys, and they werent disappointed at the presentations from both sections. Inspecting Officer was Rev Steve Emery from Ellon and he commented on how smart and enthusiastic the boys were. Pastor Paul chaplain for the company came along and gave the message for the evening, which all the boys and the audience enjoyed. A very enlightening and enjoyable evening for all who came along.Here is a selection of photos from the evening.

| Last Saturday night 20 of the church centre volunteers met together for a meal at the local hotel in Maud. We all enjoyed the meal and the games that Anne had prepared afterwards,including a quiz in which everyone was pretty even. Thanks Anne for organising this event. Around 30 members of St Kane's and Maud and Savoch Churches, arrived at Culsh Monument for 7.30am to celebrate the Risen Saviour. We sang some songs accompanied by Ben and Ian on guitars, then had some Bible Readings and prayer before leaving for a welcome bacon roll in Maud church hall.

| At the Annual Stated Meeting on 23rd March, Kathryn Drane, Anne Dickinson, Irene Gordon and Michael McMullen were elected as new Board members. Thanks were extended to those board members who were stepping down. (View article on seperate page) |

On 25th March the induction service for Rev Paul Read was held in New Deer St Kane's church, a good number of members from both St Kane's and Maud & Savoch church joined Ministers and Elders from Bucham Presbytery for the service, which was followed by a social time in the church, with refreshments in the church centre.
On Sunday 28th March, Rev Albert Smith from Laurencekirk 'preached' Paul in at Maud & Savoch church. The church was almost full with members from St Kane's joining the members at Maud & Savoch.
