(View article on seperate page) | | | 27 Adults and children returned to The Cairngorm Christian Centre, Kincraig, this weekend for St Kane's and Maud & Savochs 2nd Fellowship Weekend. We arrived on Friday evening and enjoyed a welcome bowl of soup, before getting down to our first worship session. The Bible Teaching was led by Rev Norman Smith, formerly minister at Longside Church, so well known to some of us. He was teaching us about Faith in Action. Alistair, Ian and Ben led our Praise time and everyone was in fine voice.

Our theme for the week was 'Walk the Walk' with Romans 12:2 being our bible teaching verse. We had great times of worship and praise together, we did a prayer walk, and had lots of fun with the crafts, making sock puppets for our video sketches, and also designing and painting cereal bowls. (Show full article) | | | Almost 40 children enrolled for our Olympic Themed holiday Club. Led by Andy Burns, we had a very successful week singing the holiday club theme song accompanied by Ian, making crafts, playing team games and hearing about people in the bible including Rahab, Job and Gideon. The youngsters enjoyed scoring 1,000's of points and especially enjoyed making a big banana split and then watching the leaders getting wet in the tank of water on Friday! Photos will follow soon

A large congregation from the two churches worshipped together, with praise led by the St Kanes Worship Group and a debut from the puppets ministry who encouraged us to 'Tell God About It'
Several elders from Maud and Savoch Church received long service awards, and Alistair Parrott received a gift on his retiral from and in recognition of his long service as Maud Church Treasurer.

Some even wore their kilts! and a competition to guess the weight of the kilt wearing men contributed to the sum of over £350 raised this morning. We just about filled the carriage as members and friends from St Kanes boarded the 9.48 train.
On arriving in Elgin, there was 11/2 hours free time, before everyone met in the Cooper Park to have their picnic. It was a lovely sunny day, and we found a really sheltered spot (away from a cool wind) to sit.
