A small number of members boarded the bus bound for Banff links for the annual picnic -they were joined by several more members who had travelled by car. It was a bit blustery when we arrived at Banff, but we set off for a walk along the beach. Some of the younger folk stayed to play at the playpark. We then set up camp, behind the windbreaks for our picnic lunch - it was actually quite warm for a while, and the hardy Ian, Ian and Jonathon along with Ringo went in for a dip into the 'freezing' sea!!!!!
We then decided to go along to Duff house where it was very sheltered and we were able to do our races, play rounders and have a 'fly cup' in the tea room before rounding the day off with singing, led by Ian on guitar. A great time of fun and fellowship, thanks to the social committee for organising this again. |
