Mustard Seed Cafe

Mustard Seed Cafe

Come along to the Mustard Seed Cafe in the Church Centre. We are open Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm.

We serve lunches, teas & coffee along with homebakes. It is a great place to meet and the chatter and laughter is always welcome. We've also had quite a few people tracing their family history and we always do our best to help.

Please feel free to drop in and have a bite.

Why Mustard Seed?

'The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, the smallest seed you plant in the ground. But when planted becomes the largest of all garden plants. It produces large branches, and the wild birds can make nests in its shade.' Mark 4:31-32

In the Parable of the Mustard Seed, Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to a mustard seed. Although having some of the smallest seeds, the mustard plant grows to a large size, providing shelter for birds. The story has been interpreted to mean that grand things can grow from tiny actions.
This is our prayer for our cafe.
